Heather Richkowski, PHR is a dynamic and collaborative HR leader with over 15 years of experience in both Union and non-Union environments.
She has works for, or provides consulting expertise, to a diverse array of manufacturing, non-profit agencies, and retail clients. She has a proven track record of integrated talent management, expertise in strategic human resource planning and a solid record of coaching leadership teams to improve performance and results.
In her previous life as a Manager or Director of Human Resources at several businesses in Michigan and Northeast Ohio, Heather reported to the President and CEO, with full responsibility for leading and managing the Human Resources functions.
Heather’s passion for employee and organizational development has given her knowledge and expertise at leading others through job transition and succession planning processes. She has developed relationships with many universities and technical schools assisting deans, professors and career services teams with mock interviewing, resume writing, and job search coaching for their students, to include presenting seminars and holding workshops. She has also provided specific assistance to veterans transitioning into the civilian workplace. These programs have included guiding companies on hiring and developing veterans as well as training managers on how to effectively onboard fully engaged employees.
Heather is certified in the Leadership Architect Competency Modeling and the Voices 360 Feedback and Development through Lominger and Korn/Ferry International and she is a certified facilitator in behavioral and competency based interviewing techniques. She is trained in conducting and coaching others through a systematic HR audit process. Heather also has a successful grant writing background that has resulted in hundreds of thousands of dollars awarded to companies and clients for training, implementing energy efficiencies and non-profit programs.
She is also involved in her community through numerous volunteer activities. She currently serves on the Kent State University Engineering Technology Advisory Board and is a member of the 2014 Leadership Stark County Government Academy.
Heather earned her BA in Business Administration and Human Resources Management from Baker College. She has been certified as a Professional in Human Resources by the Human Resource Certification Institute and is a member of the Society for Human Resource Management.
